The Malawi Institute of Physical Planners (MIPP)

The Institute aims to advance the science and art of physical planning in all its aspects, including local, regional, national and specialised planning namely, the planned, orderly and rational use and development of all land and other resources for the benefit of the public.

There have been commercial layout plans produced by individuals and firms who are not registered with MIPP, and are not even qualified (certified) physical planners. MIPP has noted that such plans have lots of irregularities in as far as professional physical planning is concerned.
